Welcome to the class page for this course! The more I work on the material for this the more excited I get! It’s a good sign ๐
Here you’ll find links to all the reference photos, video recordings, zoom links, and any other info that crops up. I’ve also put a couple of links in to materials and tools.
(Note: This page doesn’t need a login but is hidden from public view. So unless you know the link it is inaccessible.)
I’ve also left the comments open at the bottom if anyone has any questions or comments to make. Also feel free to add comments/upload photos to each of the session pages.
Watercolor Materials
This page has a pretty comprehensive list of the materials I like and recommend. If you’ve already been painting a while you almost certainly have everything you need so please bring what you’re used to.
Useful Tools
- Value Scale (important – even if you make one yourself)
- Link to ChromaMagic (for color matching on a photo reference)
- Color isolator (not essential but can be useful)

Test comment for image uploading
Classes will beheld from Oct 12th to Nov 16th. 1pm -3pm EST. Which days? Do I presume weekdays only? ๐
Thanks.
The live zoom is on Thursdays. I’ll be sending out preliminary videos and maybe some supplementary stuff probably on the Monday before.
What would be the best strategy? Watch and learn over the two hours first before attempting the painting? How soon will the video be available to recap and paint?
Thanks Michele.
So its up to you. I’ll be leaving a bit of time in between the stages so people can either paint along and finish up in that time or wait and paint in the gaps. Personally I like to paint along but it can get a bit intense I know.
We’ll be doing some exercises to start and I do recommend you paint along with those.
And the video will be available about an hour after the session ends. I’ll send out an email when it’s done.
Giving a try at uploading my painting. I had to reduce the size. Happy Tuesday!
Hmm. Yes – I may have to increase the upload size for images. Lovely painting. I will copy it over to the session one page so they’re all in the same place.
