The rose study didn’t take as long as I though so time for another. quite loose this one and I always enjoy all the gubbins to do with boats.

This is much more complicated than it looks. I had a great time with all that foreground texture but I’m in two minds as to whether I’m happy. Still not sure that the colors are muted enough. Time will tell.

This is another local scene from the Tower Hill Botanic Garden which is well worth a visit although we always seem to be there just before or just after a big display of color. Loved this stone urn though. Day 19 of the 30 in 30.

A little tough this one and we battled through it in class. The aim was to break down a pretty complex scene into large areas of similar value to create a good value design but keeping it representational.

Here he is and I managed to build on a good start. Those trees took
forever
and could maybe have some more work done on them but I didn’t want to overload them. Pretty happy. Love the light in this.
