Spring in New England

Size 15″x21″/22″x28″ with mat.

Blossom is so fleeting here but always gives me hope and turns my thoughts to the future.    Combined with the stark New England light, sharp shadows,  and the crisp air all makes for a fabulous subject to paint.    I always find something new to depict with trees in blossom.  They’re so light and airy yet have a weight and depth of color that feels so good when the colors and brushwork come together.

This painting comes ready matted which will fit in a standard 22”x28” frame.   We don’t ship framed paintings at the moment as it pushes up the cost and frames can be very personal.    I like a plain dark wood frame which sets off the white mat and the painting very well.

The painting will be backed by 3/16″ foam core board and contained in an acetate sleeve. It is then shipped flat by USPS in a reinforced flat card envelope and a corrugated card surround.
