Fruit and Jug Still Life Watercolor

Still life painting for me is less about the subject but more about the mood, the moment in time, and the opportunity to really let the paint and water shine through.   In this piece I wanted to contrast the intensity of the colors in the fruit with the beautiful calm neutrals in the cloth and jug.   And be able to let the paint go where it wants without losing the essence of the scene.

Medium:  Watercolor on 100% cotton archival paper

Size: 10″x10″/16″x16″ with mat.

This painting comes matted and ready to frame.   We don’t ship framed paintings at the moment as it pushes up the cost and frames can be very personal.    I like a plain dark wood frame which sets off the white mat and the painting very well.

The painting will be backed by 3/16″ foam core board and contained in an acetate sleeve. It is then shipped flat by USPS in a double thickness corrugated card surround.
