Heron reference for June 29th class. Not a classic heron pose but a good combination of lights and darks and a good shot of the feet.
We’ll likely leave the background white and concentrate on the bird itself.
Colors:
Ultramarine blue
Burnt sienna
Lemon yellow
Orangey red like cadmium red/vermillion/naphthol/pyrrole
Pinkish red like quin rose/quin red/alizarin crimson
Black
Brushes:
A 10 or 12 round for most of the painting.
A pointed synthetic for detail work.
Misc:
Maybe a spray bottle for putting some texture into the branch
Some opaque white for details although this is optional and we may not use it.
