Award winner at the Wellesley Society of Artists Fall 2020 Show

Cleaves St. Rockport Ma. Michele Clamp. Watercolor 16”x20”

Lovely news this morning. Dottie Lawson from the
Wellesley Society of Artists

just called to say I’ve won the
Margaret Fitzwilliam Excellence in Watercolor award

for the
Fall 2020 Show.

Really didn’t expect anything from this show as the work is always so strong so it was great to hear.

If people are out and about the show is on
November 2-30th at the Wellesley Free Library

(530 Washington St, Wellesley, MA).

Many thanks to Dottie and Yale at the WSA and especially to the juror Pat Walker.

And some lovely comments. Always great to hear that what you are trying to express comes through.

Newton Watercolor Society – First Prize Winner for Wildlife

Well this should stop my grumbling for a while. I received this email a while ago and boy am I chuffed! So much thanks to the juror Barry Van Dusen and Gitty Schacher and all at Newton Watercolor Society for choosing this for first place in the ‘Best Wildlife’ category. Lovely comments from Barry – it seems I managed to pull off what I was hoping for. The show will be online only in October – more details as I know them. Very excited about this and many congratulations to all the other winners.

Very excited to see that our paintings are up at the Dome Gallery in Cambridge MA. Many thanks to Judith Belt-Smith for hanging the show and congratulations to my fellow exhibitors Patricia Stimpson and
Ching Lai
. Paintings will be on show for two months until October 31st.

It’s a lovely space to hang paintings as you can see.

I have five paintings in the show – all New England scenes from our travels over the past few years.

All paintings are for sale through the Dome Gallery and through this website. Paintings will be available for shipping and/or collection after the end of the show on October 31st.
