It was a very sad day on Sunday as my trusty palette of 4 years snapped one of its hinges and I had to order a replacement. Luckily Ken Bromley Art Supplies still stocked them and once I've used up all the paint in the old palette I'll move over.
As a bonus I stocked up on my favorite 200lb Bockingford paper. Not many people make the 200lb weight which gives a bit of heft over the more common 140lb paper but isn't as expensive as the 300lb paper.
Occasionally I look at the lovely brass versions of these - House of Hoffman do a nice one as do Craig Young and John Hurtley and a few other people. These are nice but at around 400-500 dollars each I'll stick with my 20 dollar version.
Maybe one day.....
