The final 30 in 30 collage.

This is it. The challenge is over and all paintings are done.  I shall miss it,  it never got boring and I was never at a loss of what to paint.   To my eyes I learned a lot and improved a lot over the 30 days and, again, many many thanks to Leslie for coordinating us all.

As an aside here is a graph of the number of paintings posted over the 30 days for this challenge for this year and the previous 2 years.    For most people it is a big commitment to produce and post a painting a day and before I signed up I was interested in how many people stayed the course.

  1. Congratulations! Your pieces look wonderful in the collage. And that graph is absolutely fascinating and I can't even conceive of how you had the time to do that graphing in addition to all the painting!

  2. Michele, I was thinking about the same data, thank you for graphing it! I imagine Leslie would have an explanation for the flat start in 2013, but I didn't do the challenge that year, so I don't know what it is. Your collage is great, such beautiful paintings. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

  3. Thanks Susan. I was actually impressed by the number of people who stayed the course and that the quality of the paintings stayed so high over the month.

Oh – and I'm sticking with the city scenes. Very difficult but so satifying when they come off. .

  4. Well you know what they say about great minds 🙂 Yes – I don't know about the flat start in 2013 – the number actually went up on day 2 compared to day 1. Maybe people had problems uploading to the site.

  5. Msny thanks! You know actually the graph didn't take long at all. Data analysis is (part of) my day job and it didn't take that long once I'd worked out a good way to get the numbers off the web pages. If you like I could get even geekier and talk about how the decay function and constant is identical between 2014 and 2015 but different from 2013. 🙂
